Following his studies in physiology at McGill University, Dan Samaha, OD, MSc obtained his doctorate in optometry from the University of Montreal in 2011. He then completed a Master's degree in Vision Sciences with a focus on glaucoma and a new screening method.
Since 2011, he has been working in collaboration with ophthalmologists, allowing him to acquire in-depth knowledge on the management of various eye diseases. He is a speaker at numerous national and international conferences on various eye health topics.
He teaches courses in pharmacology and ocular pathology and directs the glaucoma clinic at the University Vision Clinic.
This lecture will address the diagnosis and management of common ocular injuries encountered in the field, using readily available tools. Participants will be provided with tools to better understand when conservative treatment is needed and when referral to specialty care is warranted.
